St. Maarten Rhino Rider and Snorkeling Tour
Rhino Rider and Snorkeling in St Maarten
Two times winner of the prestigious Tour of the Year
award on St Maarten, you
pilot
these fast and fun two person inflatable Rhino watercraft, that are a
fantastic way to see the island. Its safe and easy for all ages, and
just plain good fun.
You will check in at the Rhino base on the lagoon. Here you will receive
a safety briefing from your guide, and he will run you through your
route for the trip, how to drive these entertaining machines, as well as
fitting of life jackets.
This really popular guided trip skims across the waters of the Simpson
Bay lagoon, the largest saltwater lagoon in the Caribbean. Its also home
port the largest Mega Yacht fleet in the Caribbean, and you will see
these multi million dollar floating palaces, as you transit the
imaginary border across the lagoon, where the French & Dutch parts of
the Island meet.
You will continue on into the Caribbean Ocean through the French Bridge,
passing
close
to Marigot and the Marina Royal. Ahead of you, all you can see is yachts
and the vivid turquoise waters of the Caribbean. Cruising along the
coast you will see tranquil Friars Bay and the delightful seaside
village of Grand Case, and its quiet beaches.
Your Rhino destination is a great reef snorkel spot at
a Marine Reserve, a tiny outcrop of an Island around 3km offshore, where
all your snorkel gear is provided, and where you will find some great
marine life and crystal clear water.
It’s a secluded little sheltered spot with no currents
or waves. Here you can dive in, snorkel, swim, and enjoy a complimentary
beverage.
Following fantastic snorkeling it's back onboard for
high speed blast back
through
the French Side and back to the Rhino Head Quarters. You will also have chance to
purchase your very cool “Rhino Photos” at the well
stocked souvenir shop, before your return to the cruise terminal.
We also have special 3 Seat Rhinos available for persons exceeding the
weight limitations on the two seat Rhino or ideal
for families with a young child (add$45). Jump on a rhino and see if you
can tame it.
