Deep Sea Fishing Charters in St
Maarten
Big Game Fishing in Paradise. Hopping off your cruise
ship and straight into the world
of
big game fishing couldn’t be easier. Our 44ft sport Fishing boat and
experienced crew will be waiting for you close to your ship, to take you
out on a day of offshore big game fishing, where those sailfish and blue
marlin patrol the waters in between St. Maarten and St. Barths. From
beginners to seasoned fishermen, Capt. Doug will make this an exciting
and fun day to remember.
Our “Striker” 44ft Sport Fishing vessel, is the ideal platform for an
exciting day of offshore sports fishing around the waters of St Maarten.
Her powerful twin “Detroit” diesels get you the fishing grounds fast,
and with two fighting chairs, a tuna tower, and highly advanced
electronics, this a sure fire winner for a day of fishing adventure.
Comfort is not sidelined either. An open salon leading onto deck, and
comfortable accommodations, plus complimentary Heineken beers, soft
drinks, and bottled water
ensure
a relaxing atmosphere for all the family.
All levels of fishing experience are catered for, from beginners to
seasoned offshore fishermen, and the crew, Capt.
Douglas and 1st mate Matt, really enjoy teaching novices the
tricks of the trade and helping beginners to catch BIG
fish. Even more experienced fisherman can still pick up some useful
tricks of the trade from this seasoned crew, and they are happy to teach
bait rigging and strategy.
Some of the game fish you will be pursuing include sailfish, blue
marlin, white marlin, & striped marlin. Please note catch & release
policy is adhered to on these types of fish. Other targeted species you
will be chasing are Mahi Mahi & Wahoo.
On the 1/2 day trip and 3/4 day trip (depending on sea conditions) you
will head out to the South Drop. Its only a 20 minute run to these
abundant fishing grounds, and this area is actually a ledge that runs
the length of St. Maarten out to the South and past St. Barth’s. and is
a favorite hangout for game fish of all species. It’s only three and a
half miles out, before you put your lines in the water and begin your
adventure.
A full day trip will allow you to travel further offshore to such places
as the
infamous
Saba Bank and Tuna Shoal. Typically you would run for about one and a
half to two hours before putting lines in. Once there, fishing these
challenging areas is sure to produce excitement, and this trip is more
suited to experienced offshore fishermen.
Conveniently situated near to your cruise liner, hopping onboard and
heading out on your fishing adventure couldn’t be
quicker, easier, or more reasonably priced. This boat, at 44ft offers
plenty space and a smooth ride. With Shimano 50lb class and 80lb class
gear, & Penn 9.0 wire line, you will be rigged and ready to take on the
big ones. Light tackle is also available.
