The St. Maarten Lagoon Fun Sail Tour is an unusual and fun way to get you, your family and friends out on the water for a delightful 3.5hr simple sailing experience.

Our Sunfast Jeanneau 20ft sailing boats (10 of them available) are easy to sail, and an ideal way to sightsee on the lagoon, both the Dutch and French sides. There is a small comfortable cabin to store your gear and for the little ones to have a nap, plus a spacious cockpit area with plenty back support and seating designed for 4 guests.

This trip is guaranteed to bring a smile and is all about simple sailing fun.  Some basic sailing experience is required to handle these boats, but if its your first time out on the water sailing, we can provide a friendly and helpful skipper, who will also teach you to sail. (extra cost option).

The tour leaves from a Yacht Club at Simpson Bay Lagoon (which incidentally is great place for drinks or lunch) and is only 15 minutes from the cruise terminal.

After a short safety briefing on the dock, you will board, hoist the sails, and head out into the Dutch side of the largest saltwater lagoon in the Caribbean. This calm and easy expanse of water allows for safe and fun sailing for all ages, and you will be amongst one of the largest Mega Yacht fleets in the world. 

You will sail towards the “French Border” that runs across this huge inland waterway. No passports needed, as you speed along in the warm breeze towards the Western, more secluded part of the lagoon, where you can sail to your hearts content.

Allow all the family to experience the fun of sail. No loud music on these little yachts, just peace, quiet, and the joy of sailing.

You can also stop off at one of the small beaches in the lagoon, or sail into Marigot Village Marina for lunch, and you are welcome to bring along your own picnic and drinks. There are also numerous great bars and eateries along the shores of the lagoon if the fresh air makes you ready for a refreshment break.

Fun for all the family or a group of friends, this tour is an inexpensive way to enjoy St Maarten. For larger groups why not hire multiple yachts and have your very own race and regatta.

We can provide transport to the yacht club as an option and departures are at your convenience.
